Here is Narendra Kumar’s story, from taking 10 steps to 100 steps at a time! Reducing up to 90 kgs in 8 months post-Bariatric Surgery, Kumar has completely transformed his life.
Before the surgery, not only Kumar but his kids were also bullied at school. Children cracked jokes on their father’s obesity, so much so that Kumar lost all his confidence. He felt dejected in friendly and family parties. Mainly, he chose not to be present.
Things started taking a different route post-surgery. One fine day Kumar skimmed the internet and came to Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics to transform his life for the better. He started walking 200 metres only 15-days post-surgery and then went further. He now runs 9 km every day! And plays Volley Ball for 2 hours post that.
Kumar was the happiest to share that this is now his routine, ” even my son cannot run with me. That’s how much I run.” With a slightly serious expression he exclaimed that he had really tried very hard to reduce weight. But no other technique apart from Bariatric Surgery worked.
Adding some humour to the talk, he honestly confessed that he thought it was all done in Photoshop when he watched videos about Bariatric Surgery on the web. All for false marketing. But today, wherever he is, he credits it to the surgery – claiming, “It’s all real, and I am very fit.”
Talking about the hospital, he said, “no hospital has such facilities.” Everything happens on time, without patients having to say it, whether water, tea, or hygiene. He has also encouraged a minister in his area who is currently getting his procedure done. “I would like to hold a program on Mohit Sir’s expertise. I will call 200 people who have either recovered or need this surgery.”
He is convinced that he has gotten a second life, and all obese people can. For him, this is a rebirth, and Dr Mohit Bhandari is his mascot.
