Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics took an initiative to gather the leaders of Bariatric Surgery from different countries of the world to standardize the characteristics of each operation or procedure that contribute to its effectiveness. This meeting is scheduled for March 22-24, 2018 in New Delhi, India. The meeting sponsored by the Mohak Training Foundation is organized by Dr. Mal Fobi and Dr. Mohit Bhandari, both Clinical Professors at SAIMS and Bariatric Metabolic Surgeons at Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics Surgery Centre (MBRSSC) in Indore, India.
An advisory committee made of Dr. Eric DeMaria (USA), Dr. Natan Zundel (USA), Dr. Pradeep Chowbey (India), Dr. Kamal Mahawar (UK), Dr. Abdelrahman Nimeri (UAE), Dr. John Dixon (Australia), Dr. Luigi Angrisani (Italy) and Dr. David Cummings (USA) are working with the organizers to host this congress.
Innovators of various procedures along with eminent proponents who have been practicing the particular procedure extensively are invited to present the standard characteristics of the various operations and procedures. Invited leading opinion experts in bariatric metabolic surgery from all over the world will weigh in on the proposed standards. There will be open discussions followed by a vote for the proposed standards by a consensus panel.
