Bariatric surgery involves careful consideration and consultation and a bond of trust between the patient and the team. We have had many such patients&#8217; stories, where we have seen a complete change in our obesity-ridden patients&#8217; physical and mental health. One such journey of determination is that of Ms Preetika Zaweri.<\/p>\n<p>A dance enthusiast and teacher, Zaweri met with a fatal road accident in October 2009, injuring her hands, legs and head. The doctor suggested complete bed rest for 10 months- due to which she started gaining weight- reaching a 100 kgs mark. She started feeling helpless. Once she stood up on her feet after recovery- she could not do anything. Sadly, could not follow her passion for dancing.<\/p>\n<p>Once she determined to do something for her health, she got answers. Her daughter suggested her to get <a href=\"http:\/\/mohakkriti.com\/bariatric-surgery\/\">bariatric surgery<\/a>. Before this, Zaweri had no clue about bariatric surgery. But she decided to take a step further and booked an appointment to see a doctor in Nasik. Later, when she reached Nasik, her relative suggested that Bariatric Surgery needs consideration and proper guidance- why doesn&#8217;t she go to Indore instead to Mohak Bariatrics. That&#8217;s when she decided to come to us\u2014Travelling Mumbai to Indore- to transform her life.<\/p>\n<p>Everything went in smoothly for Zaweri. Within a day, she was able to return home as well. It was astonishing for her- that it could be so quick and effective. She has time and again told us that- the hospitality of the staff, the hygiene inside the hospital, and the amicable doctors made her feel like she is on vacation in a five- star hotel. Nothing makes us happier than to see our patients making good memories with us.<\/p>\n<p>After Ms Preetika Zaweri recovered, she had a message for everyone to take a step forward to curb obesity, to go for a bariatric surgery fearlessly from Dr. Mohit Bhandari. Even at 60, Zaweri can feel she is only 40; in 3 months, she lost an unbelievable 22 kgs, her diabetes is remitted, her knee problem is solved, even her eyesight has dramatically improved.
